ConversationParticipant

Represents an active participant in a conversation. A new ConversationParticipant record is created each time a participant joins a conversation. This object is available in API version 49.0 and later.

This object is available for Einstein Conversation Insights customers whose data is stored natively on the Salesforce Platform. If you turned on Einstein Conversation Insights for the first time starting in Spring ’26, this object is available to query and access using Salesforce tools. For existing ECI customers, data migration and access to related Salesforce Platform objects is scheduled to begin in Summer ’26.

AppType	Type string Properties Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort Description The type of app used by the participant, such as messaging, chatbot, live_message, agent. The nillable property is available in API version 51.0 and later.
ConversationId	Type reference Properties Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort Description The record ID of the conversation that this participant is part of.
JoinedTime	Type dateTime Properties Filter, Sort Description The date and time that a participant joined a conversation.
LastActiveTime	Type dateTime Properties Filter, Sort Description The date and time that a participant was last active during a conversation.
LeftTime	Type dateTime Properties Filter, Nillable, Sort Description The date and time that a participant left a conversation.
Name	Type string Properties Defaulted on create, Filter, idLookup, Sort Description The internal name of the conversation participant record. The value is the Salesforce record ID of the ConversationParticipant record or an auto-incremented number string. If your integration sorts records by Name, use `JoinedTime` instead.
ParticipantContext	Type string Properties Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort Description An identifier, such as a Facebook page, to add context about this participant.
ParticipantEntityId	Type reference Properties Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort Description The ID of the record connected to this participant record, such as a Contact, Messaging End User, or User record.
ParticipantKey	Type string Properties Filter, idLookup, Group, Nillable, Sort Description A value that uniquely identifies this participant.
ParticipantRole	Type string Properties Filter, Group, Nillable, Sort Description The role of this participant in the conversation, such as Agent, End User, or Supervisor.
