CEIL / CEILING

Returns the nearest integer greater than or equal to the argument. CEILING is an alias for CEIL.

2ceiling(<dp_or_numeric>)

• <dp_or_numeric>: The double precision or numeric value to round up.

Returns the rounded-up value by using the same data type as the input.

Round a value up to the nearest integer.

2SELECT ceil(-42.8) AS result;

Returns 42.0 and -42.0.
