Returns the cube root of a number.

1cbrt(<dp>)

• <dp>: The double precision value to evaluate.

Returns the cube root as a double precision value.

• Unlike sqrt, cbrt accepts negative arguments. The cube root of a negative number is negative.

Compute the cube root of a value.

1SELECT cbrt(27.0) AS result;

Returns 3.0.

1SELECT cbrt(-1000) AS result;

Returns -10.
