After you implement the SDK in your app, test and validate contact registrations.
For testing purposes, set a contact key, such as your email address, in your app. By setting a contact key, you can quickly locate and target a test push notification to a test device. Next, build and run your app on your connected device. Finally, review the results of the test registration.
Complete these steps to confirm that data is being processed.
It can take up to five minutes for Marketing Cloud Engagement to process and display the registration.
Note
In Marketing Cloud Engagement, go to Audience Builder > Contact Builder.
On the All Contacts tab, in the navigation panel, select MobilePush.
Search for the contact key or device ID of your test user.
Select the contact.
On the Membership tab, review the opt-in status for the contact’s device.
On the Attributes tab, in the MobilePush Data section, confirm that the Device ID is correct. Also, make sure that the expected device token in the System Token field is registered and that the Status is Active.
A registered device token is required for delivering push notifications.
If you can’t find the registration data or the registration data isn’t what you expected, see Troubleshoot Your Push Implementation.
