Component Accessibility

Accessible software and assistive technologies enable users with disabilities to use the products you build. Develop your components so that all users can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with them.

To create accessible components:

We recommend that you follow the WCAG Guidelines for accessibility. Alternatively, consider using a Lightning base component, which provides built-in Lightning Design System styling and accessibility. If you can’t find a base component that meets your requirement, consider creating a component from an SLDS Blueprint.
