Define a Platform Event

Define the Low Ink platform event and its fields.
  1. From Setup, enter Platform Events in the Quick Find box, then select Platform Events.
  2. On the Platform Events page, click New Platform Event.
  3. Complete the standard fields, and optionally add a description.
  4. For Event Type, select High Volume.

    Standard Volume is another option, but we recommend that you select High Volume. Standard Volume was offered before High-Volume Platform Events became generally available. High-volume events scale better than standard-volume events.

  5. Click Save.
  6. To add a field, in the Custom Fields & Relationships related list, click New.
  7. Create these fields by using the custom field wizard for each field.
