| To manage Trialforce: | “Customize Application” |
To enable Trialforce, you must have a signed ISVforce/OEM agreement. Once you’ve built and tested your app, and passed the AppExchange security review, follow these steps.
- Create your managed package.
- Create an AppExchange Publishing Organization (APO). The APO, which in most cases is the same organization you use to manage your licenses, is where you'll manage all your AppExchange publishing.
- Link your managed package to the APO.
- Create your License Management Organization (LMO). Your LMO is where you’ll manage your customers' access to your app. You should install the License Management Application into your existing Salesforce CRM organization (Enterprise Edition is required).
- Associate your managed package version to the LMO and set your license defaults. This ensures that every time a prospect creates a trial of your application, your LMO receives a new lead and license record.
- Request a Trialforce Management Organization (TMO).
- Optionally, create a customized branded login page and branded emails in your TMO.
- Create a Trialforce Source Organization (TSO) from your TMO.
- Link the TSO to your APO.
- Install your managed package in the TSO, and customize it as you want your prospects to experience it. This includes applying custom branding, loading any sample data, or creating custom profiles.
- Create a new Trialforce template from the TSO.
- Submit the Trialforce template for review and get it approved.
You can now use this template to create free trials in two ways.
