Release Notes
Here are the new and changed features for Agentforce DX (sf agent commands) in updates for Salesforce CLI.
See Salesforce CLI Release Notes for the broader release notes for Salesforce CLI. Those release notes show details for the latest stable release and the next release candidate. They don’t include the changes for the sf agent commands.
We publish a new stable version of Salesforce CLI on Wednesdays. At the same time, we also publish a release candidate that contains changes that are likely to appear in next week’s stable release. We also publish nightly releases every night.
Run sf version to show the version installed on your computer.
If you installed Salesforce CLI by using the installers or TAR files, run sf update stable to update to the latest available stable version. Run sf update stable-rc to update to this week’s release candidate and sf update nightly to update to the most recent nightly.
If you installed Salesforce CLI by using npm, run npm install @salesforce/cli@latest --global to install the latest stable version. Run npm install @salesforce/cli@latest-rc --global to install the release candidate and npm install @salesforce/cli@nightly --global to install the recent nightly.
For all installation methods, see Install Salesforce CLI to install an earlier release.
If you use autocomplete, run sf autocomplete --refresh-cache after you update Salesforce CLI to ensure that autocomplete works correctly on any new commands.
Boolean, Number, Object, List, Json) when you preview an agent, instead of only Text. Previously, every value from --context-variables was sent as text, so a boolean-gated route never opened. Use the new --context-variables-json flag with sf agent preview and sf agent preview start. For example:1sf agent preview start --api-name My_Agent --target-org my-org \
2 --context-variables-json '[{"name":"probeGate","type":"Boolean","value":true}]'(plugin-agent PR 483)
sf agent test results now shows each test case’s inputs, latency, and token usage in human-readable output for Agentforce Studio test runs. For example:1sf agent test results --job-id 4KBxx0000000001 --test-runner agentforce-studio --target-org my-org(plugin-agent PR 481)
sf agent test run --wait now reports an in-progress status when the wait times out. (plugin-agent PR 477)
